Why choose us
Why trust us with your plex on the Plateau-Mont-Royal?
When you choose Extermi Pro on the Plateau, you get local service that understands the neighborhood's unique architecture (exterior staircases, rubble stone foundations, semi-detached homes). Our technicians arrive in an unmarked vehicle, with no logo, and leave clear instructions for families, cats and dogs.
Advantages :
👨🔬 Certified technicians trained for older structures.
🚐 Rapid response in Mile-End and the Plateau.
🌿 Registered biopesticide and pesticides: targeted gels, bait stations, sealing.
🧾 Written guarantee of 6 months to 1 year depending on the pest.
🏠 Plex & business specialist: duplexes, triplexes, restaurants on Mont-Royal/Saint-Denis.
Outdoor staircases, party walls, lanes: treatments designed for the Plateau
On the Plateau, several units often share the same plumbing stack and the same wooden floors. When only one neighbour treats, the problem simply moves to another floor. So we inspect the entry points, including under the balconies and the outdoor staircase, then apply the right product and come back 15 to 20 days later. The written guarantee comes at the end.
What we treat on the Plateau-Mont-Royal
- 🪳 Cockroaches - Bait gel behind the fridge and under the sink, at home or in a restaurant kitchen; they come back mostly in October and November.
- 🪲 Bedbugs - After July 1st and its moves, it's peak season: Aprehend biopesticide or liquid treatment.
- 🐭 Mice and rats - Traps, locked bait, sealing; rats: 3 visits and a 1-year guarantee.
- 🐜 Carpenter ants - Targeted treatment and protection of wood structures and rear decks.
- 🐝 Wasps and hornets - Nests in cornices and under spiral staircases, mostly in August.
- 🪲 Termites - In-depth inspection for historic buildings.
- 🕷️ Spiders - Exterior treatment to remove webs from facades and balconies.
Our professional process
Before each intervention, Extermi Pro on the Plateau follows a proven method.
Plateau-Mont-Royal exterminator: what old duplexes hide
Century-old duplexes and triplexes — Plateau exterminator
Behind a century-old brick facade, the basement often stays damp: that's where you'll see woodlice, silverfish, and earwigs around the floor drain. Fix the humidity, then we treat the edges of the room.
Shared basements and corridors — pests on the Plateau
In the shared basements and hallways of the Plateau, the same mouse visits several units along the same pipes. We close those passages and the bottom of basement doors, not just in your unit.
Certified treatments tailored for duplexes in the Plateau
Moisture Insect Extermination Plateau — Basements
A poorly ventilated basement under an old wooden floor suits moisture insects perfectly: we treat the baseboards and tell you what to fix on the humidity side.
Mouse Exterminator Plateau-Mont-Royal
On the Plateau, mouse calls also come in midsummer, in June and July, not just in winter. Locked stations and sealing, then a second visit depending on the infestation; 6-month written guarantee.
Bed bug treatment Plateau-Mont-Royal
When a Plateau apartment has bed bugs, we also check the units above, below and next door. If needed, the whole building is treated, with 6 hours out after a liquid treatment.
Outdoor insect barrier Plateau-Mont-Royal
On the Plateau, yards are small, but wooden balconies and staircases draw ants and spiders. Exterior perimeter spraying in spring keeps them outside. Indoors, skip the store-bought spray: our article on ant spray on the Plateau explains why.
Complete inspection and accurate diagnosis
Interior and exterior inspection of risk areas. Our experts identify species and locate access points before any treatment is carried out.
Targeted and professional treatment
Precise application of bait gels and growth regulators. Effective treatment without unnecessary spraying.

Closing entry points and installing protective screens. Personalized advice to prevent reinfestation.
Follow-up and written warranty
Follow-up visit after 15 to 20 days. Written guarantee of 6 months to 1 year depending on the pest.

Prevention and advice for Plateau residents
Our Extermi Pro experts know the challenges of the neighborhood:
- 🧰 Inspection of party walls - Mice often pass from one neighbor to another through the pipes of old plexes.
- 🍽️ Compost and Green Alleys - Make sure your brown bins are tightly closed to avoid attracting rats and ants.
- 🌿 Balconies and staircases - Check the underside of stairs where wasps like to nest.
- 🏢 Follow-up for owners - Preventive inspections recommended to avoid complaints to the Tribunal administratif du logement (TAL).
- 🐾 Seasonal prevention - Winter: rodents; summer: bugs and ants.

Proof of expertise and compliance
Our technicians are certified and hold the required permits, including from the Quebec Ministry of the Environment and from the City of Montreal. They apply only registered products, and we also follow the rules of the Borough of Plateau-Mont-Royal, Recyc-Quebec and Montreal Health, on every call.
Your questions about extermination on the Plateau-Mont-Royal
In Plateau-Mont-Royal plexes, prevention involves sealing entrances (ducts, baseboards, pipes), eliminating moisture sources, and regular inspection of common areas. Furthermore, prompt treatment at the first signs prevents spread between units. Our exterminator in the Plateau offers a preventative service tailored to rental properties.
No, if you follow the instructions. After a liquid treatment, go out for 6 hours with your cat or dog; with gel or bait stations, simply keep them out of reach.
As a general rule, it's the landlord who has to pay to preserve the building. However, the tenant must cooperate in preparing the premises. We provide the necessary reports for landlords.
Yes. We offer discreet pest management services for the many businesses on Mont-Royal Avenue and Saint-Laurent Boulevard.
The green alleys of the Plateau are beautiful, but the compost and vegetation attract rats. We don't treat public streets, but we do secure your property (backyard, crawl space, garage door) to keep rats out.
For most interventions (cockroach gels, mouse traps), no, you can stay. For spraying (bed bugs, fleas), you must be out for 6 hours for safety. Our technicians will give you a clear preparation list.
