Typical pests in Terrebonne
Terrebonne has two faces. On one side, Old Terrebonne and its old houses around Île-des-Moulins, with aging frames, worn mortar and damp cellars. On the other, newer neighbourhoods in Lachenaie and La Plaine, built along fields, woods and peat bogs. Our calls here have involved wasp nests and mice; near the river, wet wood also draws carpenter ants.
Damp wood (deck, shed, framing) also attracts carpenter ants. Cockroaches tend to concentrate in the kitchens of businesses and apartment buildings. Recent house or older building in Old Terrebonne: every structure has its vulnerabilities, and our technicians know how to spot them.

Our technicians check inside and outside. They pinpoint the species and its entry points before applying anything.
Targeted and professional treatment
We match the product to the pest: gel in the cracks, stations for rodents, powder for ants. Nothing more.
Sealing and prevention
Entry points sealed, protective screens in place. Personalized recommendations to limit reinfestation.
Follow-up and written warranty
We come back to check after 15 to 20 days. Written guarantee of 6 months or 1 year depending on the pest.
Extermination for homes and semi-detached houses in Terrebonne
Owner, property manager or condo association in Terrebonne: the service adapts to you. For a house, every affected room and entry point is treated; for an apartment building, we treat the whole building so one floor doesn’t reinfest another. Each job comes with a detailed report, a written guarantee depending on the treatment and a tailored prevention plan.
Why act quickly in Terrebonne
Foundations, garages, old cellars: the entry points
In Old Terrebonne, we watch the mortar of the old walls; in newer areas, the poorly fitted garage door and a dryer vent missing its screen.
Act before it spreads
A mouse in the garage in September can become a family in the attic by December. A July wasp nest keeps growing until the end of summer. The sooner we treat, the simpler and shorter the treatment.
Our extermination methods in Terrebonne
Professional cockroach gel and baits
The gel goes on in small drops under the sink, behind the stove and in the cracks of the cabinets. It has no odour, and you stay home during the treatment.
Sealing and structural exclusion
Gaps around pipes, weep holes, rotten wood, a gap under the garage door: we close whatever lets a mouse through. A well-sealed house becomes much harder to invade.
Rat control in Terrebonne: 3 visits, one-year written guarantee
We first set traps and secured stations. We come back once the traps start catching, or after 10 days at most; the 3rd visit is to check, remove the equipment and finish the sealing. The written guarantee is one year.
Complete carpenter ant treatment
Near the Rivière des Mille Îles and the woods, a deck or shed that stays damp can shelter a carpenter ant colony. We inject insecticide powder into their galleries and treat around the house.

Questions and answers: extermination in Terrebonne
Droppings, scratching in the walls, insects that persist: contact an exterminator in Terrebonne without waiting. The sooner we step in, the less the infestation spreads and the less the treatment costs.
The products are registered by Health Canada and applied according to the label by certified technicians. At your home in Terrebonne, the treatment is adapted to the people who live there, and the safety instructions (ventilation, temporarily restricted areas) are sent to you in advance.
The duration depends on the species and the extent. Rodent control in a Terrebonne home combines inspection, sealing of entry points and trap placement; for bed bugs, two visits 15 to 20 days apart are needed.
No, not always. For a cockroach gel treatment, you can stay home. For a liquid insecticide against bed bugs, it’s best to leave the premises for 6 hours. Your technician will tell you what to do.
A written guarantee comes with every treatment in Terrebonne; its length depends on the intervention. Rodent control also includes a follow-up visit. If the problem persists during the covered period, we return at no additional cost.
Foundation cracks, garages, utility entries: that’s how mice get into homes in Terrebonne. As prevention, seal openings over 6 mm, remove accessible food and have the basement inspected before fall. We then seal every access point we find.
Carpenter ants in Terrebonne find a prime habitat in damp wood (decks, sheds, framing). Roof or plumbing leaks and nearby mature trees attract them most. To eliminate the colony, we inject insecticide powder and treat the outside perimeter.
